Just met someone…

Last year around this time the life I was living was dramatically different from my life now. 

My job was killing me. I wanted to kill my boss.I was perennially broke (ok…that hasn’t changed…but at least I’m saving now!). I had a rocking social life but a disappointing love life. I ran far away from relationships and now I am in a relationship – and for a change with a guy just three years elder to me who works in the online media industry and who – i think – likes me a hell lot!

So how did this happen? I don’t know. One day we are sitting with a group of friends and sipping coffee…and a month down the line we end up kissing under the moonlight! It was perfect!

The guy – well, he fits my idea of a fabulous boy friend. He’s adorable! Almost a foot taller than me (ok…out come the stilettos!), huge and cuddly – he’s my Shrek. Has a lot of Shrek’s qualities too! Witty, funny and goofy and suffers from foot-in-the-mouth disease – but he’s got a heart of gold. And I guess that’s why I’m with him in the first place.

Usually, when I date someone, it so happens that the guy n me – we share almost nothing in common. But with Shrek (yeah…that’s what I’m gonna refer him to as!)  it’s different. We both have a hell lot in common. Right from being workaholics to book lovers to having similar opinions about a lot of issues. Time spent with him either in person or on the phone is very pleasurable.

Yeah he does have his minus points. For eg., he’s usually way too busy…I mean I like him a lot and would like to spend more time with him . And he thinks I’m a nerd (:P he loves me nevertheless!).

I know it’s just the beginning of a relationship and it’s easy to get carried away with all those chemical reactions screwing up your brains, but I have a hunch (and I so hope it’s right) that he’s an amazing guy and I’m going to like being with him!
